La Cañada Galiaga Real
Mixed Media on Archival Clay Board in a Black Metal Floater Frame.
This painting is a part of my Ecological Landscape series.
When the 2008 housing bubble burst folks all over the world lost their homes. Spain had one of the worst problems with more than 3 million unoccupied homes in 2014. Today, empty developments are still prevalent such as this one adjoining the Cañada Galiaga Real (on right) a 10x75 mile refugee shantytown, the largest in Europe.
